When we launched in early 2014 the future of Earwig looked promising, but even the five founders didn’t expect quite such a landslide response.
Earwig has been embraced by the education industry. Called “The app that is lightening the load for hard-pressed teachers” by The Daily Telegraph, was a BETT award finalist as ICT Company of the Year 2015 and used to demonstrate advances in education technology by the DfE (Department of Education).
Earwig has been lauded by educational leaders such as Jason Elsom and Matthew Pearson to hundreds of thousands of twitter followers and during seminars. One Headteacher of an Outstanding school, Euxton Primary, Giles Storch says: “Earwig is completely revolutionary and has transformed the way we work”.
Earwig raised a large investment from crowdfunding website Crowdcube in February 2014 and are about to embark on raising more to satisfy the software developments requested by enthusiastic educators keen to use Earwig in every area of their school. The Early Years and External Communication modules are already available and the Student Portfolio module and Earwig Lite app are on their way.
The Earwig team hope that teachers and other educators will join conventional investors to participate in their latest Crowdcube investment round beginning in April 2015. The software was designed by teachers for teachers and they would love other teachers to be the ones to benefit financially from the success of Earwig.
